Materials
Since our launch in 2022, we have been committed to working exclusively with recycled metals, creating jewellery that honors both beauty and responsibility. Each design is crafted in 21ct gold-plated recycled brass or 18ct gold-plated recycled sterling silver, ensuring elegance without compromise on purity or quality. While nearly all of our pieces are made from recycled sources, only a few small components are exceptions.
Brass, one of the most sustainable metals, can be endlessly recycled without losing its strength or integrity. Much of our recycled brass comes from discarded electrical materials, old cables, and electronics, once waste, now reborn as jewelry with lasting value.
Our recycled sterling silver is sourced directly from artisans’ workshops, where the finest silver dust and offcuts are carefully collected, melted, and transformed into new creations.
At Blue Likya, we believe in the circular economy: giving discarded materials a second life through timeless jewelry, crafted with modern artistry, inspired by ancient Mediterranean heritage.
Artisans
When Ianka and Murat founded the brand, they partnered with a small independent workshop in Istanbul to bring their vision to life. Our name, Blue Likya, is inspired by the Mediterranean coast, a place that has witnessed millennia of cultures, artistry, and traditions. It reflects a spirit of continuity and craftsmanship, as well as the distinctive creative influences we draw from the region.
Today, we continue to collaborate with the same artisans in the heart of Istanbul, where our recycled brass jewelry is meticulously handcrafted. Our recycled sterling silver pieces are crafted by a like-minded independent workshop, chosen for their skill, integrity, and shared values.
We are committed to working exclusively with partners who uphold ethical practices and fairness. Over the years, we have built lasting relationships, growing in unison, sourcing gemstones, and shaping new collections in partnership. Regular visits ensure not only quality and collaboration but also a shared respect for individuals, heritage, and craftsmanship.

At Blue Likya, packaging is part of the experience. Each piece of jewellery is presented either in a recycled paper box with a refined matte finish or a soft velvet pouch. Both options are thoughtfully created to protect your jewellery while embodying our values of sustainability and timeless design.
